GRAPHIC SIZE:
Each vehicle decal is approximately 24″ wide X 24″ high. DOT Numbers if included are 2″ tall as required. Logos and any addition information such as phone number is sized to fit the space. The total graphic including DOT Numbers, if applicable is fit within the 24″ x 24″ space. If you require a larger layout design, please contact us directly.
PROOF POLICY:
We gladly provide production proofs to our customers to make sure the print and graphic meets their expectations and needs. We do ask that you purchase the custom business logo and DOT numbers prior to requesting a proof so that our time and labor costs are covered. We work with you on your proof until you are completely satisfied with your vehicle graphic design.
PRINT READY LOGOS:
This price is based on print ready logo files. A print ready file is in a vector format allowing us to scale and change background colors as needed to accomplish a high-quality product. Many logos you see online are image file types and do not have the resolution required to scale and print larger format decals or vehicle graphics.
SHIPPING:
The decal comes loosely rolled. For best installation results, flatten the graphic and use the squeegee included in your order to flatten any lifts that may have occurred during shipping.
GUARANTEE:
We stand behind our custom printed products. Our goal is to deliver products to customers that meet or exceed their needs. We will replace or refund any orders because of poor print quality or manufacturing defects. Please contact us with any questions or concerns and we will do our best to make it right.
Every order is reviewed by us personally to ensure it is ready to print for your assurance.
BRAND COMPLIANCE:
We work hard to ensure we meet any branding requirements including colors and fonts required by our clients. Please ensure you provide any details regarding your branding requirements at the time of your custom decal order. For example, if you require a specific color of blue and know the CMYK, Pantone, or RGB value. Or if you require a specific font for any secondary text.
Please note that if we do not have your font on file, we may require an additional fee to obtain rights to use required fonts for printed graphics. As always, you can contact us directly with any questions.
INSTALLATION:
Installing vinyl decals and lettering on vehicles has never been easier. Below are some types for how to install your custom printed vinyl decals from Liberty Sign and Graphics.
STEP 1: Gather Materials:
Start with gathering the materials needed to install your custom vehicle graphics. Here is a list of materials you will need.
-
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Paper towels or shop cloth
- Graphic
- Masking tape
- Tape measure
- Squeegee
- Exacto knife or razor blade
STEP 2: Prepare the Installation Service:
Make sure the surface is clean and free from any dirt that may cause the adhesive backing of the vinyl decal to fail. We recommend wiping down the surface using isopropyl alcohol and paper towels as a final surface preparation step.
STEP 3: Measure and Position the Decal for Installation:
Once the graphic installation surface is prepared, use your tape measure to locate and position your graphic location. Use the masking tape to secure the corners of the graphic.
TIP: DO NOT USE A LEVEL to position your graphic or decal on your vehicle. Always use what appears to be the straightest and level line when looking at your vehicle. Trucks and vehicles are not always in a position where they are level to the ground. By using a line on the vehicle, you will ensure your graphic appears to be level no matter the surface level.
STEP 4: Create a Hinge:
- Once your custom decal is positioned on the vehicle and secured with tape, create a hinge and add alignment guides.
- Look for an area towards the center of the graphic where there is the least amount of vinyl to be installed.
- Then take your masking tape and create a hinge from the top of the graphic to the bottom. The tape should be secured to the vehicle.
- Press the tape down on the graphic so it is firm against the decal and the vehicle.
NOTE: You may want to run a couple of lines of tape down to create a stronger hinge.
STEP 5: Add Alignment Guides:
Once you are done creating the hinge, place a small piece of masking tape on each side of the edge of the decal so that it is half on the graphic and half on the vehicle.
STEP 6: Remove the Backer Paper (one side only):
- Use the Exacto knife and carefully cut one side of the masking tape used as an alignment guide on the decal.
- Be sure to cut the tape slightly over the part adhered to the graphic masking. This will help ensure you do not accidently cut through to your vehicle paint. Just cut enough to separate the tape into two pieces.
- One piece on the graphic masking and one piece on the vehicle.
- Fold the graphic over towards the hinge being careful not to crease the graphic.
- Then remove the backer material to expose the adhesive side of the printed decal.
- Peel the backer material to the hinge and then remove the backer.
- Tear the backer paper as straight and as close to the hinge as possible.
NOTE: Be sure to keep the exposed adhesive side of the decal to come into contact with anything.
STEP 7: Align and Squeegee:
- With one hand pull on the side with the alignment tape and to straighten the graphic.
- Do not allow the graphic to adhesive to come in contact with the vehicle.
- Keeping the graphic masking tight use the alignment tape to line up the graphic.
- From the hinge side starting in the center begin to squeegee the graphic in place on the vehicle.
- Uses the squeegee to push the decal onto the vehicle removing any creeses and wrinkles along the way.
STEP 8: REPEAT STEP 6 & 7:
Carefully remove the hinge and repeat step 6 and 7 for the other side of the graphic.
Step 9: REMOVE THE MASKING PAPER:
- Before you remove the masking paper use the squeegee to smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles on your vehicle decal.
- To remove the masking start to peal the tape at one corner.
- Fold the masking tape and pull slowly making sure that the graphic does not continue to stick.
- If the graphic does stick, then push the masking tape back over towards the lifted vinyl and push the vinyl back on the vehicle and slowly pull the masking tape off again.
- emove the masking tape until the vinyl decal is completely exposed.
As always, contact us with installation questions. We are happy to help! We will be adding video links in the future to show easy installation of our premium cut and printed vinyl products.
